Payment Security

Last updated: September 24, 2026

Paying for Gronta is handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never pass through Gronta's servers.

1. Payments Are Processed by Stripe

Every payment on Gronta, for a plan or for a credit top-up, is processed by Stripe. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard that card networks such as Visa and Mastercard set for companies that handle card data.

2. We Never See Your Card Number

When you pay, you enter your card details on Stripe's own secure checkout page, not on a page of ours. Gronta never receives or stores your full card number or its security code. We keep only what we need to connect your payments to your account: your plan, the state of your subscription and your billing dates.

3. Encrypted Connections

Gronta and Stripe's checkout are served over HTTPS, so everything you send, including your card details, is encrypted on its way.

4. Protection Against Misuse

You have to be signed in to your Gronta account to buy anything, and we limit how many payment requests an account can make in a short time. That protects against card testing, where stolen card numbers are tried in bulk. Stripe also checks every payment for signs of fraud before it goes through.

5. Managing Your Card and Invoices

To change your card, download an invoice or cancel your subscription, open Billing in the Gronta app. Those actions take place in Stripe's secure customer portal, so your card details stay with Stripe there too. How cancelling and refunds work is set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. If Something Looks Wrong

If you see a charge from Gronta you don't recognise, or think someone has used your account without your permission, email support@gronta.com straight away. We'll look into it and reply within 2 business days.
